Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dan Cormier!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Anthony Taglia and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cormier gets cracked there but stands up to it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Despite being in the dominant position, Dan Cormier just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Moss counters with a straight right hand.

Cormier takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Cormier crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Moss - the referee stops the clock and Cormier gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Moss. Cormier manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

and Moss counters with a stiff right hand.

Moss uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Moss throws a head kick that Cormier semi-blocks.
Moss tries to close the distance and clinch but Cormier swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Cormier misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Cormier will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Cormier shoots for a double leg takedown but Moss sprawls well. He's pushed Cormier's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Moss, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
