Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Moraiso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deninho Pires (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pires comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Here Comes The Boom - nelly kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Moraiso! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Deninho Pires! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moraiso dives in and grabs Pires's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pires pushes down on Moraiso's head and hops out. Pires shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Moraiso as he jumps to the side. Pires lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Moraiso decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Moraiso looking for a submission but Pires manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Moraiso drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pires looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pires looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pires! Moraiso is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Pires tries to score with some ground and pound. Moraiso controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Pires sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Moraiso is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pires connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Pires shoots in looking for a takedown. Moraiso tries to sprawl out of it but Pires keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Moraiso manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ricardo Moraiso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pires connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Moraiso tries for a takedown but Pires circles away easily and Pires counters with a lovely straight right hand! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricardo Moraiso. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pires misses with a head shot. Moraiso uses the momentum to regain guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pires throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Moraiso works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Moraiso working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pires doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pires manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Moraiso has a closed guard, preventing Pires from standing up. Pires must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Moraiso keeping moving, preventing Pires from controlling successfully.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Pires keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Nice sprawl there from Pires as Moraiso shoots in. Pires shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Pires is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Moraiso can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pires is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Moraiso can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Moraiso tries to reverse the position but Pires maintains control. Pires looking to finish Moraiso with some ground and pound. This is bad for Moraiso! Pires raining down shots from the mount! Moraiso takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Moraiso is looking to get to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pires lands a big elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Pires lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Moraiso sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Pires wants to lay and pray for a moment but Moraiso keeps working. Moraiso looking for submissions off his back. Moraiso tries to get to full guard but Pires has control of the leg. Pires wants to work for an arm triangle but Moraiso is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pires wants to take a breather but Moraiso is having none of it. Pires might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Moraiso kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Deninho Pires dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Moraiso shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Moraiso looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Pires gets back to full guard.
Moraiso drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Pires dives on top into guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pires wanted to stand there but Moraiso had control of the position. Moraiso working for a triangle but Pires defends it easily.
Pires wants to control from the top but Moraiso keeps moving. Pires would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Deninho Pires has got the better of the ground game so far. Pires advances to half guard. Moraiso is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pires pulls his head out easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Moraiso looking for submissions off his back. Moraiso actively working from the bottom here. Moraiso looking for submissions off his back. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Moraiso gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Pires counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Pires misses with the combination.
Pires changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Moraiso looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Pires wants to stand but Moraiso has his arm trapped. Pires goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Moraiso has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Pires but great work by Moraiso. Moraiso is trying to get an arm triangle but Pires is defending well. Moraiso tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Pires wants to control from the top but Moraiso keeps moving. Pires is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Moraiso pushes a forearm under Pires's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Pires is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
