Chiba is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bodies. Blaine Stone could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Hanzo Chiba's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Blaine Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hanzo Chiba!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stone shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Chiba manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Stone throws a strike but Chiba rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Chiba postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stone is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Chiba, into his guard.
Stone is working Chiba over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Chiba drops back, looking for a kneebar! Stone looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Stone looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Stone!

Stone has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Chiba can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Chiba thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
