The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Symbiont closes this distance looking for a takedown but Smith circles away.
Symbiont decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Symbiont is looking for a kimura but Smith is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Symbiont to get the leverage.
Smith gets back to full guard.

Smith is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Symbiont frees his head nicely. Oh but Smith has switched to an armbar! Symbiont is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
