Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Robby Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kooistra De Ridder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robby Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kooistra De Ridder!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

De Ridder shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Brown napping and manages to drive through into side control!
You can see the frustration on Brown's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Brown has one of De Ridder's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Brown pushes De Ridder away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, De Ridder gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Brown is looking for a sweep.
Brown is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on De Ridder's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Brown is looking for a sweep. De Ridder is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Brown wants to improve his position but De Ridder is controlling well.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kooistra De Ridder.

Brown drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

De Ridder sneaks out the side door and pushes Brown away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

and De Ridder counters with a nice double leg into side control. Brown won't be happy with that.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Brown tries to buck De Ridder off but De Ridder is having none of it.

De Ridder stands up and beckons Brown to his feet.
De Ridder throws a nice looking combination but Brown bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

De Ridder gets in close and instigates a clinch.
De Ridder tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Brown just stands there and leans against the cage.
De Ridder wants to get back to striking at distance but Brown won't allow it.
De Ridder fails to pull the fight into his guard.
De Ridder gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Brown.
A head punch on the inside from De Ridder fails to land.

De Ridder tries to work over Brown's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Come on Brown - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Brown tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. De Ridder smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robby Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Brown throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. De Ridder tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Brown is in De Ridder's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brown wants to control from the top but De Ridder keeps moving.

De Ridder is looking for a triangle but Brown pushes his legs off easily.
De Ridder manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Brown manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

De Ridder doesn't manage to clinch there - Brown circles away.
Brown slips a jab and a cross from De Ridder.
De Ridder tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brown swats him away and circles back towards the center.

De Ridder gets to mount! Brown was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Brown is bucking up trying to escape but De Ridder cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

De Ridder lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

De Ridder has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Brown tries to control the position but De Ridder now has his back.
Brown takes a big shot to the side of the head.
De Ridder slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Brown knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for De Ridder on the ground.
De Ridder scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Brown is looking for a way out.

De Ridder has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Brown has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

De Ridder has the hooks in. Brown is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Brown looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Brown tries to break free.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kooistra De Ridder showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


De Ridder doesn't manage to clinch there - Brown circles away.

Brown has De Ridder up against the cage in a clinch.
De Ridder jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Brown walks away with a smile on his face. De Ridder gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Robby Brown is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Brown tries to escape but De Ridder is in control.
Brown is looking for a sweep.

De Ridder wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brown, who protects the arm well.
Brown tries to control the position but he's not in luck - De Ridder easily slips into full mount!
De Ridder breaks from Brown's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

De Ridder controlling from mount.
De Ridder is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Brown can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
De Ridder cracks Brown with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

De Ridder has control of Brown's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Brown regains control of the situation pretty easily.
De Ridder takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The referee warns Brown that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

De Ridder looking to finish Brown with some ground and pound. This is bad for Brown!

De Ridder wants to finish this one by submission but Brown is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from De Ridder.

Brown defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from De Ridder.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brown is trying to reverse the position but instead De Ridder has taken his back - oops!
De Ridder controlling the position well here. Brown rolled but De Ridder kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
De Ridder cracks Brown with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Brown from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Brown looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Robby Brown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kooistra De Ridder is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
De Ridder just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Kooistra De Ridder comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got De Ridder winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
