Alexander throws a head kick but holmes moves out of range.
holmes looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
holmes moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Alexander shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Alexander was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Alexander lands with some strikes.
holmes is squirming around, avoiding Alexander's attempts to control the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
holmes wants to control but Alexander is having none of it.
