Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Trey Butler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Snowdon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Trey Butler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dave Snowdon! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Butler closes the distance and pushes Snowdon back into the cage. Butler digs a right hand into Snowdon's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Snowdon's gas tank. A short right from Butler. Butler lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Snowdon fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Butler makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Snowdon blocks an uppercut.
Snowdon is trying to break the clinch but Butler is controlling him. Snowdon is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Butler pulls him back up using the underhooks. Butler scores with a nice hook to the head. Butler lands a nice shot to the body. Butler is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Butler gets a warning from the ref for wasting time. Butler lands a left hand that snaps the head of Snowdon backwards. Butler has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Snowdon uses from the top position. Snowdon throwing strikes from guard but Butler blocks nicely. Snowdon has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Butler is proving hard to escape from. Snowdon is fighting to break Butler's control of his arms but Butler is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Butler preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Butler has a closed guard, preventing Snowdon from standing up. Butler is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Butler thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Butler thows a huge punch but Snowdon dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Butler lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Snowdon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Butler throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Butler throws a strike but Snowdon avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Snowdon preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Butler trying to control but Snowdon is working from the bottom. Butler loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Snowdon closes the distance but Butler moves to the side and Butler holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Snowdon tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Butler smiles and moves away.
Trey Butler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Snowdon. Snowdon misses with the combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snowdon wants to clinch and Butler counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Butler. Butler works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Butler stalls. Snowdon wants to get back to striking at distance but Butler won't allow it.
Butler lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Snowdon backwards. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Snowdon tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Butler pushes Snowdon back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Snowdon looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Butler throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Snowdon wants to break free but Butler has control.
Snowdon wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. A head punch on the inside from Butler fails to land. Snowdon is looking to break free of the clinch but Butler has double underhooks. Butler misses with the head strike.
Butler tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Snowdon avoids it. Butler jumps guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Snowdon wanted to stand there but Butler had control of the position. Butler is breathing heavily. Snowdon is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Snowdon throwing strikes but missing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Butler lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Snowdon! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Butler looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Butler manages to pull guard.

He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Snowdon in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Snowdon wants to stand but Butler has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Butler pulls Snowdon in close to his closed guard and prevents Snowdon from doing any damage or advancing position. Snowdon wants to control from the top but Butler keeps moving. Butler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Snowdon in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Butler slips a jab and a cross from Snowdon.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Butler walks away with a smile on his face. Snowdon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Snowdon throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Butler counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Snowdon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Butler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Snowdon keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Snowdon keeps the fight on the outside. Snowdon fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Snowdon throws the kick towards the body but Butler avoids it. Snowdon swinging wildly here.

Snowdon tries to circle away but Butler has him pinned against the cage. Snowdon has had enough of the clinch but Butler keeps him there for the moment. Butler throws a punch but it's blocked by Snowdon. Butler lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Butler has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Snowdon is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Snowdon is trying to break the clinch but Butler is controlling him. Butler tries to pull guard but Snowdon won't allow it.

Snowdon has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Butler is proving hard to escape from.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snowdon working some strikes from top position. Butler has Snowdon pulled in close to control his posture. Butler manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Snowdon manages to get himself to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Butler postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Butler prevents Snowdon from getting back to his feet. Snowdon being controlled here, momentarily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Snowdon being controlled here, momentarily. Butler wants to control from the top but Snowdon keeps moving. Dave Snowdon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that's the end of the fight! Trey Butler showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Butler, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
