Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Jackson Sanderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rorst Gracie! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie lands with a nice body punch. Sanderson gets a takedown into half guard. Sanderson prevents Gracie from improving his position. Gracie is trying to stand.
Gracie is trying to get back to full guard. Sanderson is trying to work for a kimura but Gracie is defending well.
Gracie is trying to stand up here but Sanderson is controlling him well. Sanderson is looking for a kimura but Gracie is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sanderson to get the leverage. Sanderson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Gracie regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanderson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gracie looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gracie looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gracie! Gracie prevents Sanderson from escaping the position. Gracie passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Sanderson! Gracie wants to control but instead Sanderson manages to regain half guard. Gracie stalling away here and it's allowed Sanderson to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanderson wants to get back to his feet but Gracie is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Gracie throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Gracie stands and throws Sanderson's legs to the side, diving into side control. Gracie tries for a kimura but Sanderson is defending well. Gracie goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Sanderson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Gracie's guard! Nice work there by Sanderson!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanderson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gracie manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sanderson has Gracie in his guard. Gracie passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Gracie working the strikes but Sanderson uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Sanderson is looking to escape. Sanderson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Gracie has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Gracie goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Sanderson is on top in guard.
Sanderson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gracie is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gracie has escaped and now he's on top! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rorst Gracie dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Gracie stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gracie wants it to stay on the feet. Gracie scores with a jab to the head.
It looks like Jackson Sanderson has been cut. Sanderson slips a jab and a cross from Gracie.
Sanderson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Sanderson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gracie looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gracie looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gracie! Gracie tries for a kimura but Sanderson is defending well. Gracie looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sanderson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Sloppy strikes there by Gracie. Gracie tries for a kimura but Sanderson is defending well. Gracie swings around for an armbar but Sanderson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Gracie's guard. Gracie is breathing heavily.

Sanderson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Gracie dives on top into guard. Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Sanderson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gracie lands a couple of elbows.

Gracie throws a series of punches but Sanderson moves out of range. Gracie thuds a left hand into Sanderson's body. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Gracie throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Excellent takedown into side control there by Sanderson. Jackson Sanderson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gracie is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Gracie gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Sanderson seems to be looking for submissions.
Gracie is looking to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanderson uses his free foot to push down on Gracie's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gracie. Sanderson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Gracie has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Sanderson goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Gracie is on top in guard.
Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sanderson's guard. Sanderson is not content to let Gracie control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Rorst Gracie will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Jackson Sanderson's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Gracie is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Sanderson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gracie is keeping the position for now. Gracie is looking to stand up but Sanderson isn't so interested in that idea.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Sanderson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gracie did well to prevent Sanderson getting side control. Sanderson is looking for a kimura here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie wants to sweep but no luck. Sanderson has gone for a leg lock! Gracie slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sanderson's guard. Gracie drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Gracie as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Sanderson screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Gracie! Nice submission victory there!
