Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between James Laurent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Phyton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laurent comes to the cage accompanied by Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction. John Phyton will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phyton walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Laurent pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Laurent avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Laurent misses with a hook.
Laurent is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Phyton.
Laurent misses the shot to the body.
Laurent throws a lazy right hand but Phyton sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Laurent scores with a jab to the head.
Laurent throws a body punch but Phyton moves out of range.
Laurent lands a glancing blow to the side of Phyton's head.
Phyton displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Laurent throws out the jab.
Phyton looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Laurent leaves Phyton with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Laurent lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Phyton is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Laurent.

Laurent lands with a hook. Phyton tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Phyton shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Laurent sprawls well. Laurent wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Phyton gets slowly back to his feet.

Phyton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Laurent comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Phyton takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Laurent connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Laurent throws a combination. Phyton tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Laurent paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Phyton is trying desperately to land a takedown but Laurent is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Phyton.

Laurent swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Phyton.
Phyton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

James Laurent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Laurent throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Laurent!
No luck for Phyton with that takedown attempt.
Phyton ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A decent looking cross lands there for Laurent.

Phyton has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Laurent lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Phyton avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Laurent scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Laurent stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Phyton is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Phyton drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Phyton is still on wobbly legs! Can Laurent finish him?
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Phyton closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Left hook, right uppercut from Laurent.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Laurent! Phyton is backing up but he can't get away as Laurent lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Phyton and ends the fight. Great knockout.
