Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Sawshank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marcus Sawshank! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jacob Hunt! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunt dodges the punch combination from Sawshank.
Hunt looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Sawshank tries for a takedown but Hunt sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Hunt cracks the inside of Sawshank's front leg. Sawshank fails with a takedown attempt. Sawshank misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcus Sawshank. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sawshank fails with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sawshank looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hunt is fending him off so far but Sawshank persists. Nope, Hunt circles away and we're back to standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunt throws a quick inside leg kick. Hunt connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Hunt leaves Sawshank with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Hunt swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sawshank counters with a nice uppercut. A head kick from Hunt lands but Sawshank takes it in his stride. Hunt lands a head kick. Sawshank smiles back at him and beckons him forward. A good leg kick by Hunt. Sawshank throws a combination that misses and Hunt counters with a head kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunt lands with a thumping leg kick.
Hunt pushes Sawshank away with a front kick. Hunt throws a nice inside leg kick. Sawshank wants to clinch and Hunt counters with an inside leg kick. Hunt keeps Sawshank at a distance using the push kick. A nice inside leg kick there by Hunt. That's going to slow Sawshank down. Sawshank takes a head kick and keeps coming.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sawshank takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Hunt throws a head kick that Sawshank semi-blocks.
Hunt throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Hunt closes the distance and clinches. Sawshank can't get the takedown.
Hunt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hunt scores with a kick to the midsection. Hunt's corner calls for a 1-2. Hunt obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Sawshank is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Hunt clinches up with Sawshank and pushes him back against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sawshank gets underhooks to prevent Hunt's takedown attempt.
Sawshank tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hunt smiles and moves away.
Hunt misses with a double jab
and Sawshank counters with a takedown into side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! You can see the frustration on Hunt's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sawshank taking a breather here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jacob Hunt dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sawshank drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Sawshank controls from within his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sawshank postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sawshank lands a couple of elbows. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hunt is trying to control the position but Sawshank postures up. Sawshank trying to control but Hunt is working from the bottom. Sawshank stands and steps away. Hunt gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Sawshank looks for a takedown but Hunt sprawls well. Hunt lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sawshank shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hunt defends it nicely. Sawshank misses with a leg kick and Hunt counters with a flying knee. Nice. A chopping leg kick lands by Hunt. A head kick from Hunt lands but Sawshank takes it in his stride. Sawshank fails with the takedown and Hunt counters with a body kick that stops Sawshank in his tracks momentarily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcus Sawshank. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sawshank with a lazy takedown attempt and Hunt counters with a low kick, right behind Sawshank 's knee. Sawshank throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Hunt counters with a nice leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sawshank takes a shot right to the bread basket. Sawshank with a poor takedown and Hunt counters by clinching up. Hunt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hunt with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

and Hunt counters with an outside leg kick.
Hunt turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Sawshank tries to keep at a distance but Hunt has taken the fight into the clinch. Hunt tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sawshank lands a nice uppercut. Sawshank tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hunt smiles and moves away.
Hunt throws a nice outside leg kick. Sawshank looks to clinch and Hunt counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hunt. Sawshank drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hunt gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Hunt connects with a knee to the head.
Sawshank is trying to force a seperation but Hunt has the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Jacob Hunt will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Hunt ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Nice takedown defense from Hunt. No joy for Sawshank on that attempt. A low kick from Sawshank is predictable there and Hunt counters by clinching up. Hunt breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sawshank throws a leg kick and Hunt counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Hunt takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hunt bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. No luck with that takedown attempt from Sawshank. Hunt plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
That's one minute gone in the round. Sawshank takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Hunt dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sawshank. That did some damage! A chopping leg kick lands by Hunt. Hunt feints and then cracks Sawshank's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sawshank down. Hunt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sawshank's waist but Sawshank gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hunt off to one side. Sawshank wants to clinch but Hunt slips to the side and Hunt counters with a good low kick that Sawshank was not able to check. No luck for Sawshank with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcus Sawshank. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hunt lands a head kick!
Sawshank fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Hunt throws a nice inside leg kick. Danga de danga de dang - Hunt scores with a four punch combination! Sawshank takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Sawshank tries to clinch there but Hunt circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sawshank shoots in for a takedown but Hunt shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Hunt dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sawshank. That did some damage! Hunt scoring well with a low kick there.
Sawshank changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hunt tries to avoid it but Sawshank manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hunt to the ground. Hunt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hunt fails to land with a series of punches.
Sawshank scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Hunt displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sawshank.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. No luck for Hunt with that takedown attempt. Sawshank gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hunt counters with a flying knee. Nice. Sawshank chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hunt can pounce on him.
Hunt stuffs the takedown. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. No joy there for Sawshank, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Marcus Sawshank has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jacob Hunt is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Hunt lands with a nice combination. Sawshank backs away looking to recover.
And that's the end of the fight! Jacob Hunt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Hunt winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
