He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. agent xx has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

xx clinches.

xx decides to pull guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
xx tries to strike from the bottom but he's left himself exposed and GUN has taken his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
xx is covering up but some of the strikes from GUN are getting through and doing damage.
xx turns into GUN and is now in his guard.

xx stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. GUN swivels though and keeps the full guard.
GUN trying to keep a closed guard but xx is proving a slippery customer.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
GUN circles away from the clinch attempt.
GUN goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Nice takedown defense from xx. No joy for GUN on that attempt.
xx is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
GUN tries to clinch but xx is having none of it.

and GUN counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. xx is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Horrible takedown by GUN or perhaps it was just good defense by xx which made him look bad.

xx clinches but GUN breaks the clinch

agent xx seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
xx darts in trying to clinch

and GUN counters with a shoot takedown. xx fights it but they end up in guard.
GUN wants to control from the top but xx keeps moving.
xx throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
xx controls GUN momentarily but GUN frees himself.

xx throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. GUN was covering up waiting for the punch and xx finishes the takedown easily into guard.
GUN utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
xx knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for GUN on the ground.
xx won't allow GUN to get back to his feet.

GUN looking for a guillotine here but xx defends easily.
xx is in close to GUN's body, working some short punches and elbows.
GUN trying to keep a closed guard but xx is proving a slippery customer.
xx wants to control from the top but GUN keeps moving.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

GUN has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. xx is defending well but eventually GUN manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! xx has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
