Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between sambo sambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ultimo Dragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Ivan Kurochkin and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dragon checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Good work by Dragon as he checks the leg kick.
Dragon throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Horrible takedown by Dragon or perhaps it was just good defense by sambo which made him look bad.
sambo circles away from the clinch attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
sambo stuffs the takedown attempt from Dragon. Dragon gets slowly back to his feet.
sambo walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Dragon checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Dragon moves in looking to clinch but sambo pushes him off.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Dragon swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Ultimo Dragon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

sambo pivots, looking for a leg kick but Dragon is out of range and sambo settles back down.
Dragon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Dragon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. sambo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

sambo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and sambo wants it to stay on the feet.

No joy there for Dragon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dragon takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by sambo.
Dragon stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from sambo.

sambo fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Dragon checks it well.
Dragon checks a low kick from sambo.

sambo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Dragon chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before sambo can pounce on him.
sambo wants to slow Dragon down by chopping away at his legs.
sambo misses with a low kick as Dragon jumps back.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dragon keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
sambo dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Dragon. That did some damage!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Dragon's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

sambo throws a solid leg kick but Dragon takes the impact on his shin and smiles at sambo.

sambo buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
