Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Riam Larama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taylor has chosen Immortal Technique as his entrance music. Adam Taylor has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Riam Larama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adam Taylor! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Columbo Gatti and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Taylor misses the target. Taylor throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
No joy there for Taylor, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Taylor looks to land a combination but Larama avoids it well. Larama fails in his attempt to clinch. Taylor fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Taylor misses with an uppercut. Larama saw that one coming. Larama with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Taylor to score with a decent uppercut. Taylor keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Taylor swings for the body but Larama moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taylor misses with a series of wild punches.
A combination from Taylor does no damage. Larama throws and low kick but Taylor moves out of range easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Larama circles away quickly and effectively. Larama fails to land the takedown. Taylor thows a leg kick but Larama checks it so Larama counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Larama accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Larama trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Larama pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Taylor is keeping the position for now. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Taylor can do anything to dispel that myth. Taylor wants to get back to his feet but Larama is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Larama is looking to work some ground and pound but Taylor has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Larama wants to control from the top but Taylor keeps moving. Taylor avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Larama has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Larama trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Taylor throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Larama counters with a nice double leg into guard. Larama looking to pass the guard. Larama is working hard here to advance position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Larama forces his way into half guard. Taylor manages to escape and get back to his feet! Larama fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Taylor avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Riam Larama. That's going to take a lot out of him. Taylor throws a left and a right that both miss
and Larama counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Larama. Larama lands a nice elbow. Taylor is trying to force a seperation but Larama has the dominant position. Taylor is looking to break free of the clinch but Larama has double underhooks. Taylor breaks from the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Taylor throws a body punch but Larama moves out of range. Taylor leaves Larama with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Larama shoots in looking for a takedown. Taylor tries to sprawl out of it but Larama keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Taylor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Taylor swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Larama counters with a nice double leg into side control. Taylor won't be happy with that. Larama throwing shots but missing, from side control. Larama is working Taylor over with some ground and pound from side control. Larama misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Larama tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Larama has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Riam Larama dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Taylor throws a left and a right that both miss
and Larama counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Taylor is lucky that one didn't land flush. Taylor throws a hook to the side of Larama's head but Larama sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Taylor throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Larama counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Larama not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Larama is looking to take a break and control but Taylor is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Larama is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Larama fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's one minute gone in the round. Larama can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Taylor is looking to escape. Larama postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Taylor looks a forlorn figure.
Larama looking to control but Taylor is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Larama looking to secure an arm triangle but Taylor defends it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Larama takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Larama looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Larama goes for an armbar but Taylor turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Taylor.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Larama is working an open guard so Taylor takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Larama takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Larama lands a nice looking kick to the body. Taylor takes a step back to recover. Taylor throws a nice looking combination but Larama bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Adam Taylor is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Taylor throws a body punch but Larama moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Taylor lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Larama at a distance.

Larama thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Larama throwing strikes but missing. Riam Larama dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Taylor throws a leg kick and Larama counters with a head kick. That will keep Taylor thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Taylor throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Larama. Taylor thuds a left hand into Larama's body. Taylor misses with a double jab.
Larama will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A slow jab from Taylor misses its intended target. Taylor takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Larama connects with a high kick.

Larama staying out of range there. Danga de danga de dang - Taylor scores with a four punch combination! Taylor throws out a loose jab but Larama uses good head movement to avoid it. Larama avoids a punch combination nicely.

Larama avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Larama lands with a slapping head kick. Larama thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Taylor if he has to take too many more of those.

And that's the end of the fight! Riam Larama showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Larama, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
