Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tmmy Mazunga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Wretch! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wretch shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mazunga but Mazunga pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mazunga will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mazunga keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Mazunga fails to land with a series of punches.
Wretch shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Wretch works his way into full mount! Wretch trying to control but Mazunga is having none of it. Wretch controlling the pace for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wretch landing strikes, looking to finish! Wretch trying to control but Mazunga is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Mazunga is trying to stand. Wretch looking to secure an arm triangle but Mazunga defends it well. Mazunga is trying to stand up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wretch looking for a guillotine from mount but Mazunga is having none of it. Mazunga knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wretch on the ground. Wretch tries to control but Mazunga wriggling away. You get the feeling that Mazunga really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Wretch looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Wretch looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Wretch can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mazunga is looking to escape. Mazunga is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wretch working for a submission but Mazunga is keeping him at bay. Wretch with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nick Wretch dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Wretch is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Mazunga. Wretch takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mazunga throws a monster overhand right that drops Wretch! Mazunga follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tmmy Mazunga!
