Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chad Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Tribbett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Silver! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charlie Tribbett! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silver lands a nice leg kick that just misses Tribbett's sensitive parts. Silver clinches up against the ropes. Silver's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Silver gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Silver breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Silver feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Tribbett's calf. A nice inside leg kick there by Silver. That's going to slow Tribbett down. An inside leg kick lands from Silver. Silver closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Tribbett is trying to maintain a safe position but Silver gets an underhook and turns Tribbett into the ropes. Silver prevents a takedown attempt there.
Tribbett has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Silver is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Silver. Silver escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Silver drives through and clinches with Tribbett against the ropes.
Silver breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Silver turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Silver throws a series of punches but Tribbett moves out of range. Good leg kick by Silver there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Tribbett shoots in for a takedown but Silver shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Chad Silver has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charlie Tribbett. Silver is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Tribbett's half guard. Silver tries to stand and escape but Tribbett is controlling the position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Silver is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Silver is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tribbett defends it well. Silver is working for a kimura but Tribbett is defending it quite comfortably.
Tribbett is in trouble now - Silver has advanced to mount! Silver landing punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silver tries to control but Tribbett wriggling away. Tribbett keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Tribbett is squirming around, avoiding Silver's attempts to control the action. Tribbett sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Tribbett is trying to get back to full guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Tribbett is trying to stand up here but Silver is controlling him well. Tribbett looks gassed! Silver wants to take a breather but Tribbett is having none of it. Tribbett has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Silver is working away from the top position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silver wants to work for an arm triangle but Tribbett is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Tribbett is trying to get back to full guard. Silver is nestled in close to Tribbett, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A good leg kick by Silver. Silver lands with a kick to the temple. Tribbett shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Tribbett closes the distance but Silver moves to the side and Silver counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Silver plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Silver darts in and clinches Tribbett up against the ropes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silver pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Silver - that will leave a mark!
Silver throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Silver feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Silver wants to control from the top but Tribbett keeps moving. Tribbett has a closed guard, preventing Silver from standing up. Silver working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Tribbett's head. Tribbett keeping moving, preventing Silver from controlling successfully. Tribbett is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Silver defends well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tribbett keeping moving, preventing Silver from controlling successfully. Tribbett misses with a takedown attempt - Silver sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Tribbett shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silver as he avoids it easily. A nice leg kick lands there from Silver. A solid leg kick lands there for Silver.
Silver darts in and clinches Tribbett up against the ropes. Silver breaks the clinch.

Silver escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tribbett on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Silver. Silver obviously looking to wear him down.
Silver changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tribbett looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Silver stands up and we're back to a striking position. Chad Silver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silver comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Tribbett is breathing heavily. Tribbett slips a jab and a cross from Silver.

and Silver counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Silver. Silver breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silver shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tribbett's guard. Silver trying to control but Tribbett is working from the bottom. Silver is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Silver sitting in guard, not really doing much. Silver wants to pass the guard but Tribbett is keeping the position. Tribbett has momentary wrist control but Silver slips an elbow through the middle. Silver sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tribbett's guard. Silver is trying to control. Tribbett wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Tribbett looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Tribbett wants to stand and escape but instead Silver has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Silver trying to control the position from guard on top but Tribbett is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tribbett takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chad Silver. Tribbett tries to clinch up and Silver counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. A good leg kick by Silver. Silver chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Silver bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Silver wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tribbett, who protects the arm well. Tribbett is not content to let Silver control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silver lands an elbow. Tribbett is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Silver is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Tribbett sees it coming and defends easily. Tribbett actively working from the bottom here. Tribbett punching from the bottom.
Chad Silver overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Silver has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Tribbett defend it? Silver steps over the head and cranks it - Tribbett is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Silver!
