The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snowdon tries to clinch up but Bape circles away and keeps his distance.
Snowdon throws a wild body kick that Bape sees coming a mile off.

Snowdon is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Nice sprawl there from Bape as Snowdon shoots in.

Bape closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Bape is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Bape is trying to work for a kimura but Snowdon is defending well.
Bape wants to free his trapped foot but Snowdon is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Snowdon tries to lock up and control but Bape gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Bape has control of Snowdon's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Snowdon regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Snowdon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bape on the ground.

Bape goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Snowdon turns into him and now he's in Bape's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bape wants to stand but Snowdon is controlling the position.
Snowdon has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
