Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Knuckles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Cass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knuckles kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is John Lennon - Working Class Hero. Larry Cass has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jimmy Knuckles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Larry Cass! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cass slips under a jab from Knuckles. Knuckles throws a series of strikes that have Cass backpedaling.
Knuckles jabs Cass right on the nose. Cass blinks but takes it well. Jimmy Knuckles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice defenses there by Cass. Cass clinches up against the cage. Knuckles swings wildly with an uppercut but Cass uses good head movement to avoid it. Cass jumps into guard, dragging Knuckles to the mat.
Cass manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Cass landing strikes from the mount. Cass is standing up, even though he is in mount. Knuckles throws a hook but Cass blocks it. Cass has a takedown stuffed. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cass avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Cass staying out of range there. Cass misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Jimmy Knuckles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Larry Cass. Knuckles connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Cass's hands. Knuckles shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Cass holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Cass drags the fight down to the ground.
Knuckles stopping the sweep attempt from Cass. Cass has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Knuckles can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Cass looks gassed! Cass is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Knuckles slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Cass isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Knuckles stacks Cass on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Knuckles! Knuckles has knee on belly and moves into mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cass is looking to get to half guard. Cass is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Cass is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Cass is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Cass tries to get back to half guard but can't. Poor strikes thrown by Knuckles there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cass is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Knuckles could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Knuckles looking to finish with strikes here!

Cass gets back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jimmy Knuckles will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Knuckles fails to land with a series of punches.
Cass slips a straight right by Knuckles. Knuckles is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Knuckles throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cass. No luck for Cass with that takedown attempt. Knuckles misses the jab. Larry Cass is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cass looks for a takedown but Knuckles sprawls well. Knuckles thows a left - swing and a miss! Cass ducks under a wild hook from Knuckles. Knuckles throws a jab when Cass was well out of range. Knuckles connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Cass is breathing heavily. Knuckles misses with an uppercut. Cass saw that one coming. Knuckles waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Cass. Knuckles throws a lazy right hand but Cass sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Cass misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Jimmy Knuckles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Larry Cass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knuckles connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Knuckles jabs Cass right on the nose. Cass blinks but takes it well. Cass slips a straight right by Knuckles. A big left from Knuckles misses. Knuckles scores with a nice right hand.
Cass blocks a jab. Knuckles looks to throw the jab but Cass is out of range. Knuckles throws the left hand but Cass avoids the punch easily. Good exchange - Knuckles coming out on top. Cass tries for a takedown but Knuckles sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Knuckles thuds his right hand into Cass's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Knuckles throws a looping overhand right but Cass ducks down to avoid it. Cass shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Knuckles's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cass advances position into side control! Cass wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Knuckles, who protects the arm well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cass is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Knuckles knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Cass fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Cass decides to stand up, so the ref orders Knuckles to his feet. Cass uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Knuckles. Cass steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Knuckles. Knuckles throws a looping overhand right but Cass ducks down to avoid it. Jimmy Knuckles is winning the standup battle so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knuckles swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. The fighters circling - Knuckles throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Nice sprawl there from Knuckles as Cass shoots in. Knuckles jabbing away but nothing is landing. Cass shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Cass was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Cass looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Knuckles is controlling an arm, preventing Cass from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Cass forces the positional change into back control. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Cass's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cass looking for the choke but no joy. Cass somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Knuckles dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Cass uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Knuckles. Knuckles fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cass on the side of the head. Knuckles throws out a powerful jab. Knuckles throws out a loose jab but Cass uses good head movement to avoid it. Cass ducks under a wild hook from Knuckles. Cass drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cass goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Knuckles has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Cass but great work by Knuckles. Cass tries to improve position but can't. Knuckles working away. Both fighters are breathing heavily. A lull in the action here as Knuckles stalls from top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cass tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cass is being controlled here. Cass sneaks back into half guard. Cass actively working from the bottom here. Knuckles stops Cass from getting back to his feet.
Cass gets full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Cass is controlling Knuckles's posture. Larry Cass has got the better of the ground game so far. Knuckles won't allow Cass to sweep him here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cass can do anything to dispel that myth. Knuckles slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Cass pulls Knuckles in to control the position. Knuckles tries to free his leg and advance position but Cass is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cass is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Cass looking to hit a scissor sweep but Knuckles is one step ahead there. Knuckles trying to control but Cass is working from the bottom. Cass looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Knuckles puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Cass has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Knuckles is working away from the top position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A swing and a miss from Knuckles. A big right from Knuckles misses. Cass shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Knuckles pinned against the cage. Knuckles gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Cass slips under a jab. Cass moves away from the strike by Knuckles. Cass slips a jab from Knuckles. Knuckles gets caught flat footed, as Cass shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Cass thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Cass passes Knuckles's left leg - he's now in half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Larry Cass comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Knuckles has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
