Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, jason ortiz!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from ortiz. No joy for Kane on that attempt.
Kane tries to close the distance and clinch but ortiz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

ortiz scores with a takedown into Kane's guard.
Kane will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kane is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
ortiz tries to free his leg and advance position but Kane is retaining full guard.
ortiz lands a couple of elbows.

Kane had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. ortiz is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kane Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take ortiz's back instead.
Kane keeps control of the position as ortiz tries to break free.

Kane is persistently looking for the submission but ortiz is defending it well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Kane has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, ortiz has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Kane is breathing heavily.

ortiz is really stuck here.
ortiz breaks Kane's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
ortiz wants to control from the top but Kane keeps moving.
ortiz looking to pass the guard.
ortiz cracks Kane with a solid left hand.
ortiz trying to control but Kane is working from the bottom.

Kane looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

ortiz works a leg free and moves into half guard.
ortiz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

ortiz is looking for a kimura but Kane is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for ortiz to get the leverage.
ortiz looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kane with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

ortiz is trying to work for a kimura but Kane is defending well.
Kane works his way to full guard. Good work.

Kane is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
ortiz is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Kane is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! ortiz rolls with it to try and escape but Kane cranks on the arm and ortiz is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
