Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kaylan Heath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenji Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heath's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Showdown - Black Eyed Peas. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kaylan Heath! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kenji Nakamura! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nakamura gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Nakamura avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Nakamura manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Heath manages to get himself to full guard.
Heath wants to sweep here but Nakamura controlling him for the moment. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Nakamura postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Heath looking for a sweep. Not yet Heath, not yet. Nakamura wants to control from the top but Heath keeps moving. Nakamura stands up from guard. Let's bang! Heath keeps the fight on the outside. Heath closes the distance and pushes Nakamura back into the ropes. Heath misses with a hook from the clinch. Nakamura fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Heath working some nice short punches in the clinch. Heath stalling the fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nakamura working hard to break the clinch. Heath controlling the action here for a moment.
Heath drags the fight down to the ground.
Heath looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Heath is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nakamura is aware though and is defending well. Heath will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Nakamura trying to control but Heath is working from the bottom. Heath escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nakamura gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Nakamura trying to control but Heath is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kenji Nakamura. Nakamura with a lazy takedown attempt and Heath counters with a nice double leg into guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Heath trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Nakamura is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Heath has gone for a leg lock! Nakamura slips out almost immediately though and dives into Heath's guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Nakamura tries to free his leg and advance position but Heath is retaining full guard. Nakamura avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nakamura got a little sloppy there for a moment and Heath has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nakamura has managed to get both his arms back between Heath's legs - danger averted. Heath is breathing heavily. Heath looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Nakamura stands and throws Heath's legs to the side, diving into side control. Nakamura tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Heath manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Heath looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Heath moves into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nakamura tries to free his leg and advance position but Heath is retaining full guard. Heath throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Heath wants to sweep here but Nakamura controlling him for the moment. Heath controls Nakamura momentarily but Nakamura frees himself. Heath looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nakamura is one step ahead there. Heath keeping moving, preventing Nakamura from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kaylan Heath dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Nakamura doesn't succeed with the takedown and Heath counters with a nice double leg into side control. Nakamura won't be happy with that. Heath trying to control the position but Nakamura is working away. Heath tries for a kimura but Nakamura is defending well. Heath looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Heath throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Heath lands a few punches from side control. Heath is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Nakamura is trying to escape and Heath transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Nakamura is forced to tap! Nice work there by Heath! Very nice indeed!
