Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Orlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Dryupp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Yuri Orlov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Ricky Dryupp!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dryupp fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Orlov avoids it really well and circles away.

Dryupp shoots in and gets a takedown into Orlov's guard.

Orlov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dryupp defends well.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Orlov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Dryupp throwing strikes from guard but Orlov blocks nicely.
Dryupp looking to pass the guard.
Orlov lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dryupp!
Dryupp gets back to half guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Orlov seems to be looking for submissions.
Dryupp wants to improve his position but Orlov is controlling well.

Orlov is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Orlov is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Orlov is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dryupp defends it well.

The fighters are battling for position here. Dryupp manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Orlov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Orlov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Orlov drops back looking for a leg! Dryupp is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dryupp manages to kick Orlov off! Orlov jumps back into Dryupp's guard.

Dryupp looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Orlov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Dryupp had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Orlov defends it easily.
Dryupp wants to sweep but no luck.
Dryupp keeping full guard, as Orlov tries to pass.

Orlov stands and steps away. Dryupp gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
A big left from Orlov misses.
Orlov dives in and grabs Dryupp's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dryupp pushes down on Orlov's head and hops out.
Dryupp avoids the body shot from Orlov.
Dryupp shoots in looking for a takedown. Orlov tries to sprawl out of it but Dryupp keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Orlov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Orlov throws the left hand but Dryupp avoids the punch easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dryupp enables Orlov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dryupp manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Dryupp looks gassed!

Orlov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Orlov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Orlov slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
