Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jose de Jesus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pit Jonson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pit Jonson! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jonson scores a takedown into full mount! Jesus is looking to improve his position but Jonson isn't that keen on the idea. Jesus is working hard here to advance position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jesus bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Jonson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jesus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. That's one minute gone in the round. Jesus drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jesus jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Jonson feints and as Jesus raises his hands in defense, Jonson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Jesus is looking for a triangle but Jonson pushes his legs off easily.

Jonson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jonson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Pit Jonson. Jesus doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jonson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jonson wants to pass to mount but Jesus is defending the position. Jonson performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Let's hope that Jonson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Jesus is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jonson pulls his head out easily. Jonson controlling the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. I looks like Jonson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Pit Jonson. Jonson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Jesus misses with a takedown attempt so Jonson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Jonson controls the pace of the fight for a moment. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jonson works his way back into a safe position though. Jonson looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Jesus has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Jonson doesn't defend quickly enough and Jesus has managed to lock this one up! Can Jonson escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Jesus on a fantastic submission victory.
