Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wanderley Rizzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Tomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wanderley Rizzo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bryan Tomas! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tomas throws a right and a left that both miss. Tomas gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Rizzo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tomas is keeping the position for now. Tomas wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Tomas avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Rizzo lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Tomas wants to stand up but Rizzo is controlling him. Tomas is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rizzo passes easily into side control. Nice work. Tomas wants to control but Rizzo postures up. Rizzo working the head and body with strikes. Rizzo has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Tomas! Tomas tries to reverse the position but Rizzo maintains control. Tomas in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Rizzo is working for a guillotine from mount but Tomas frees his head quite easily.
Rizzo could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rizzo jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Tomas is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Tomas and Rizzo has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Tomas is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Rizzo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Rizzo is breathing heavily. Rizzo lands a few punches from side control. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Tomas is trying to control Rizzo's posture but Rizzo avoids it. Tomas is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Rizzo is staying active. Rizzo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tomas, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Rizzo goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Tomas has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Rizzo but great work by Tomas. Rizzo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Tomas looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rizzo manages to work his way to half guard, despite Tomas's best efforts. Rizzo gets back to full guard.
Rizzo manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Rizzo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rizzo landing strikes, looking to finish! Rizzo has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tomas's face.
It looks like Bryan Tomas has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rizzo lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Tomas is rocked! Rizzo jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Tomas manages to avoid the submission attempt. Tomas is still in real trouble! Can Rizzo finish him? Rizzo cracks Tomas with a big elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rizzo is chipping away with strikes.
Tomas gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Rizzo looking for a guillotine from mount but Tomas is having none of it. Tomas is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Tomas seems to have recovered his senses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tomas is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Tomas is in all sorts of trouble here.
Tomas tries to hold on but Rizzo postures up. Tomas regains half guard. Tomas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rizzo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rizzo scoring with strikes to the body and head. Rizzo working Tomas over with strikes. Tomas looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Tomas wants to improve his position but Rizzo is controlling well.
Rizzo winds up and cracks Tomas with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Rizzo has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Tomas defend it? Rizzo steps over the head and cranks it - Tomas is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Rizzo!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Wanderley Rizzo!
