PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tomek Tatarata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Andrade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tatarata comes to the ring accompanied by Thunderstruck-AC DC. Andrade is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Orgasmatron. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tomek Tatarata!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roberto Andrade!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andrade tries for a takedown but Tatarata sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Andrade shoots in for a double leg but Tatarata sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Andrade closes the distance and clinches.
Tatarata tries to pull guard but Andrade won't allow it.

Andrade gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Tatarata regains guard.
Andrade in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Andrade accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Tatarata is staying active underneath Andrade, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Andrade takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Tatarata is refusing to be controlled, as Andrade sits in half guard.

Andrade lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Andrade is keen to just control but Tatarata is a slippery customer.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Andrade shoots in but no luck this time.
Andrade closes the distance and clinches up with Tatarata, looking for a takedown. Andrade pushes Tatarata against the ropes but Tatarata circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Tomek Tatarata has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roberto Andrade.
Tatarata catches Andrade with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Andrade throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tatarata's waist but Tatarata gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Andrade off to one side.

Tatarata has hold of Andrade's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Andrade manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Tatarata is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Andrade is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Andrade has escaped and now he's on top!

Roberto Andrade showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Andrade connects with a nice short shot to Tatarata's temple.
