PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Juan Dee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Danza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dee comes to the cage accompanied by One Dimension. Danza is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Who's the Boss. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tony Danza!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danza misses with a looping left.
Danza throws a jab but it's blocked by Dee.
Danza checks a low kick from Dee.
Dee throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Dee misses with a body kick.
Dee avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A slapping leg kick lands for Dee.
Dee is looking to land body kicks.
Danza looks to score with a jab to the body but Dee is just out of range.

Dee closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Danza gets back to half guard.
Dee not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Dee is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Dee seems to be looking for submissions.

Danza is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dee is aware though and is defending well.

Dee is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dee connects with a couple of short punches.

Dee has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Danza bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Dee throws a low kick but Danza avoids it.

I think Danza has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
