Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Flip Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John The Beast!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones gets a takedown into half guard.
The Beast manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
The Beast wants to stand but Jones is controlling the position.
The Beast working a defensive guard here.
Jones is looking to work some ground and pound but The Beast has wrist control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The Beast is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The Beast kicks Jones off and gets to his feet.

Jones looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Jones tries to pass the half guard into mount. The Beast knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The Beast taking some punishment here, with Jones in his half guard.


It looks like John The Beast has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. The Beast defending well though.
The Beast pushes Jones off looking to stand but Jones dives back in and keeps control.
Jones is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.


The Beast is rocked!
Jones tries to pass the half guard into mount. The Beast knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Jones throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Jones thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed The Beast's head.
The fighters are battling for position here. The Beast manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Jones might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jones's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Jones with a nice head shot there.
Jones lands a couple of elbows.
The Beast is still in real trouble! Can Jones finish him?
Jones postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! The Beast covers up, he's hurt! Jones keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Jones and the ref steps in to end the fight! Jones can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Flip Jones!
