Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bob Barker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brighton Johnston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Barker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brighton Johnston!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barker throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Barker fails in his attempt to clinch.
Johnston should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Johnston avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Johnston shoots in and bounces Barker off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Johnston wants to control from the top but Barker keeps moving.
Barker will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnston decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Barker throws a head kick but Johnston moves out of range.

Barker has taken the fight to the clinch.

Johnston gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Barker kicks Johnston off and gets to his feet.

Barker tries to clinch there but Johnston circles away.

Barker tries to keep at a distance but Johnston has taken the fight into the clinch.

Barker closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Barker misses with a takedown attempt

and Johnston counters with a nice double leg into side control. Barker won't be happy with that.

Johnston wants to lay and pray for a moment but Barker keeps working.

Barker is working for a guillotine from mount but Johnston frees his head quite easily.

Johnston looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Barker!
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Johnston has eaten all the pies!

Barker is in a horrible position here. Johnston smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Johnston lands a nice shot to the head.
Johnston looking to control but Barker is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Johnston lands with some strikes.

Johnston has hold of Barker's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Barker manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Johnston stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Johnston fails with an attempt to clinch.

Johnston feints and as Barker raises his hands in defense, Johnston changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Brighton Johnston showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Barker misses with a series of wild punches.

and Johnston counters with a shoot takedown. Barker fights it but they end up in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they both work up against the meshing.
Barker is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Johnston is controlling him.

Barker moves in looking to clinch but Johnston pushes him off.

Johnston throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bob Barker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Johnston shoots in but no luck this time.
Barker doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Johnston counters with a nice double leg into side control. Barker won't be happy with that.
Johnston on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Johnston tries to get out of the position.

Barker is trying to stand back up but Johnston is controlling him
Barker is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Barker wants to control but Johnston is keeping busy.

Johnston landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Johnston wants to control the pace but Barker is squirming around nicely.

Johnston is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Barker is surviving well by controlling Johnston's body position as best he can.
Barker tries to lock up and control but Johnston gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Brighton Johnston has got the better of the ground game so far.
