Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Grant Stamford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ghosts n' Stuff. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Johnny Jones was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stamford pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jones closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones wants to take a breather but Stamford is having none of it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Stamford ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jones moves away.
Stamford thows a body shot but no joy.

You can see the frustration on Stamford's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Jones fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Stamford rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Johnny Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stamford as he avoids it easily.
Grant Stamford has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Jones.
Stamford throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stamford circles away.

Stamford circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Jones to the canvas! Jones doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Stamford keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
