Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duane Lee Chapman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Duane Lee Chapman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dick Carter!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Carter or perhaps it was just good defense by Chapman which made him look bad.

and Carter counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Carter wants to control from the top but Chapman keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carter gets to his feet - Chapman follows without any prompting.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Carter.
Chapman is looking for a sweep.
You can see the frustration on Chapman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Carter decides to stand back up. Carter steps back and let's Chapman get back to his feet.
Carter has a takedown stuffed.
Carter throws a sloppy head kick and Chapman moves out of range easily.

Chapman circles away from the clinch attempt.

Chapman moves into range and clinches up with Carter.
Chapman is struggling to control the position.
Carter looking to stall.

Carter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Carter lands with a good body shot.

Chapman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Chapman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Carter is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position.
Chapman is looking to work his way around to Carter's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

Carter is trying to escape the mount.
Carter tries to lock up and control but Chapman gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Chapman looking to control and managing it successfully.
Carter tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Carter looks gassed!

Carter sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Chapman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carter keeps working.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Carter looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Chapman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carter on the ground.
Chapman sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Carter defending well though.
Carter is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Chapman is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Chapman avoids the attempt from Carter to control.
Chapman lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Carter hang on?
Carter can't escape the position.
Carter wants to hold on but Chapman pushes him away.

Chapman stands up from mount. Strange move.
Chapman closes the distance and clinches up with Carter, looking for a takedown. Chapman pushes Carter against the cage but Carter circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Carter keeps the fight on the outside.
Carter wants to clinch up but Chapman keeps it at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dick Carter dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Carter is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carter moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Carter can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Chapman controls the pace.
Carter throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Carter is breathing heavily.
Carter is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Chapman won't allow Carter to sweep him here.

Carter wants to stand but Chapman is controlling the position.
Carter is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Carter shoots in looking for a takedown. Chapman tries to sprawl out of it but Carter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chapman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Chapman clinches up with Carter and pushes him back against the cage.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Chapman wants to stand but Carter is controlling the position.
Carter wanted to stand there but Chapman had control of the position.

Chapman is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Carter defends well.
Chapman is looking to stand up but Carter isn't so interested in that idea.
Chapman trying to keep a closed guard but Carter is proving a slippery customer.

Carter pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Chapman is keeping the position for now.
Carter is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Carter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Chapman shoots in and gets a takedown into Carter's guard.

Carter wants to sweep here but Chapman controlling him for the moment.

Carter has his foot on Chapman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chapman works his way back into a safe position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Chapman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Chapman closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Chapman lands in his opponent's guard.

Carter wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Carter circles away from the clinch attempt.
Carter doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Chapman counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Carter's guard now.
Chapman throws a big right hand that misses.
Carter is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Chapman is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Carter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Chapman is working an open guard so Carter takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Chapman lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Chapman.


It looks like Dick Carter has been cut.
Chapman misses with a double jab.

Carter gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Chapman to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Carter is trying to control the position but Chapman postures up.
Chapman connects with a couple of short punches.
Chapman won't allow Carter to sweep him here.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Chapman closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Carter quickly recovers to half guard.
Duane Lee Chapman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Carter keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Chapman takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

And that's the end of the fight!
Duane Lee Chapman showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Chapman has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
