Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Buakaw Pramuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pramuk comes to the cage accompanied by Versant - Push Away. Damian Maia has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Buakaw Pramuk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Damian Maia! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pramuk doesn't manage to clinch there - Maia circles away.
Maia checks a leg kick. Pramuk missing with a left hand there. Maia was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Maia tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Maia shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Pramuk napping and manages to drive through into side control! Pramuk wants to get back to his feet but Maia drags him back down. Maia tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Maia working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Pramuk wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Maia is trying to get an arm triangle but Pramuk is defending well. Pramuk tries to bench press Maia off him but Maia keeps the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pramuk struggling a bit here. Pramuk is trying to get back to his feet. Maia wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pramuk, who protects the arm well. Pramuk is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Maia is controlling him well. Pramuk can't do much from the bottom here. Maia wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pramuk keeps working. Maia tries for a kimura but Pramuk is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Maia tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Maia looks gassed! Pramuk is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Maia has just dragged him back down to the mat. Pramuk tries to bench press Maia off him but Maia keeps the position. Pramuk tries to escape but Maia is in control. Pramuk is trying to control Maia's posture but Maia avoids it. Maia wants to control but Pramuk is keeping him busy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Pramuk's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maia working the strikes but Pramuk uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Pramuk wants to control but Maia is keeping busy and won't allow it. Maia stops Pramuk from getting back to his feet.
Pramuk is positioning himself well to prevent Maia advancing to mount. Maia throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Maia is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pramuk sees it coming and defends easily. Pramuk is looking to escape. Maia wants to work for an arm triangle but Pramuk is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Pramuk knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Maia on the ground. Maia wants to stand up but Pramuk has a hold of him and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Maia is looking for a kimura but Pramuk is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Maia to get the leverage. Pramuk has his hands clasped together around Maia's back. He's all about the action. Maia wants to control but Pramuk is keeping him busy. Pramuk pushes Maia off looking to stand but Maia dives back in and keeps control.
Pramuk has one foot on Maia's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. A telegraphed right hand from Pramuk misses the target. Buakaw Pramuk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pramuk walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Maia checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Maia takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. A big right from Pramuk misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Damian Maia dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Pramuk wants to clinch but Maia slips to the side and Maia counters with a single leg into guard. Pramuk didn't expect that. Maia trying to stand up but can't free himself from Pramuk's guard. Maia drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Maia jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Maia won't allow Pramuk to get back to his feet. Pramuk not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Maia stops Pramuk from standing up. Pramuk keeping full guard, as Maia tries to pass. Maia won't allow Pramuk to get back to his feet. Maia postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Pramuk trying to control the position here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Maia postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pramuk is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Maia, into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pramuk trying to control the position from guard on top but Maia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Buakaw Pramuk. Pramuk is looking to chop away at Maia's legs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Maia walks into a stiff left hand from Pramuk. Maia shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pramuk pinned against the cage. Pramuk gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. The fighters circling - Pramuk throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Maia fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Pramuk darts in trying to clinch and Maia counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Maia seems to be looking for submissions.
Pramuk pushes Maia off and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maia stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Pramuk. Pramuk throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Pramuk lands a nice looking body shot.
Pramuk misses with a body kick. Pramuk closes the distance looking to clinch and Maia decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pramuk's guard. Maia passes into half guard. Pramuk is defending against the submission attempts here by Maia.
Pramuk is trying to stand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pramuk controlling the position for now. Pramuk is trying to stand.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Maia trying to pass the guard but Pramuk defending well. Pramuk tries to get to full guard but Maia has control of the leg. Maia is pressing down on Pramuk's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pramuk is holding on for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Damian Maia showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Pramuk clinches but Maia breaks the clinch and Maia counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pramuk's guard now. Pramuk looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Pramuk manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Maia moves out of range of the leg kick from Pramuk. Pramuk throws a hook to the side of Maia's head but Maia sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Maia avoids the body shot from Pramuk.
Pramuk plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Maia gets the takedown into side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Maia decides to stand back up. Maia steps back and let's Pramuk get back to his feet. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Maia tries to close the distance and clinch but Pramuk swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maia takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Pramuk throws the kick towards the body but Maia avoids it. Pramuk ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Maia moves away. Pramuk lands a nice leg kick that just misses Maia's sensitive parts. Maia shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pramuk manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Maia thows a big elbow that misses. Pramuk wants to stand but Maia is controlling the position. Maia advances to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Maia missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Maia seems to be looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Pramuk manages to escape and get back to his feet! Pramuk wants to clinch. Pramuk misses with a kick to the body.
Maia checks a leg kick. No luck with that takedown attempt from Maia. Pramuk throws a right hand that Maia ducks under and follows up with a left that Maia also avoids with ease. Pramuk looks to land a body kick but Maia moved away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pramuk tries to clinch up. Pramuk wants to clinch so Maia counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Maia drops back looking for a leg! Pramuk is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pramuk manages to kick Maia off! Maia jumps back into Pramuk's guard. Pramuk is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Maia is controlling him. Buakaw Pramuk has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pramuk is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Maia is pushing down on Pramuk's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pramuk is fighting to maintain full guard but Maia has managed to sneak the leg through. Maia is looking to take a break and control but Pramuk is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Maia is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pramuk doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Maia. Pramuk looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Damian Maia is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pramuk looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
And that's the end of the fight! Damian Maia comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Maia winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
