The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mann misses with a jab, cross combination.
Demirro is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mann's half guard. Demirro wants to work for an arm triangle but Mann is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Mann tries to kick Demirro off but Demirro keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Demirro is looking for a kimura but Mann is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Demirro to get the leverage. Demirro tries to pass to full mount but Mann defends it. Demirro is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Demirro prevents Mann from standing back up.
Demirro should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mann tries to bum rush Demirro with a series of wild strikes but Demirro uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Mann will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mann tries to land a front kick but Demirro steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Mann misses with a series of wild punches.
Demirro shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mann as he avoids it easily. Demirro slips a jab and a cross from Mann.
Tommy Mann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Demirro fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Mann scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
It looks like Donte Demirro has been cut. Mann scores with a nice strike. No joy there for Mann, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mann throws a nice looking combination but Demirro bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Mann fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Demirro to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Demirro looks to clinch but Mann throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Demirro taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
