Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruce Bellec!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Boxing Bandit!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Joseph Jones and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bellec lands with a slapping head kick.
Bellec circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bandit takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Bandit will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bandit looks to land a left hand but Bellec moved out of range nicely.
Bandit takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Bellec plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Bellec throws a leg kick which misses Bandit's front leg but catches the back leg as Bandit tries to avoid it.
Horrible takedown by Bandit or perhaps it was just good defense by Bellec which made him look bad.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bandit crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Bellec - the referee stops the clock and Bandit gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Bellec. Bandit manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Bandit throws a sloppy head kick
and Bellec counters with a body kick that stops Bandit in his tracks momentarily.
Bellec throws a nice inside leg kick.
Bandit fails with the takedown
and Bellec counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Bruce Bellec has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boxing Bandit.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bandit chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bellec can pounce on him.
Bellec turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Bellec lands a head kick!
Bandit looks to clinch
and Bellec counters with an inside leg kick.
Bellec scores with a spinning back kick!
Bandit looks gassed!
Bandit takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Bellec throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bandit's head.
Bandit is rocked!
Bellec circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Bandit drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Bellec follows Bandit to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
