Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fresenius James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakobi Smithy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smithy has chosen Freak on a Leash as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
James blocks a head kick by Smithy.
Smithy tries to clinch up but James circles away and keeps his distance.
Some bone on bone action there as James checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Smithy throws a head kick that misses.
James stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Smithy.
James swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Smithy tries to score with a low kick but James moves his leg out of the way.
James connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
James scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Smithy will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Smithy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from James.
Good leg kick by Smithy there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

James throws a monster overhand right that drops Smithy! James follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
