Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ross Massey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Kraken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kraken has chosen Battle Without Honor Or Humanity as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ross Massey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, The Kraken! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kraken swats away the attempt to clinch by Massey. Massey tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kraken keeps the fight on the outside. No luck for Massey with that takedown attempt. Massey gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Massey missing with knees to the body.
Massey successfully pulls guard.
Kraken is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Massey is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Massey has escaped and now he's on top! Kraken bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Massey's guard. Kraken sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Massey's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kraken works his foot free and advances to mount. Massey is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Massey really wants to buck Kraken off and get back to his feet. Kraken wants to finish this one by submission but Massey is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kraken. Kraken swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Massey is now in Kraken's guard. A big mistake from Kraken there, giving up the dominant position! Kraken has a closed guard, preventing Massey from standing up. Kraken manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kraken moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Massey has worked his arm free - good work by Massey!
Kraken tries for a kimura but Massey is defending well. Kraken looks gassed! Kraken is trying to ground and pound but Massey uses the momentary lack of control by Kraken to regain half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Massey wants to get back to his feet.
Kraken is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kraken is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Massey has managed to free his arm - good work. Massey looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kraken is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kraken works his way into side control. Kraken cracks Massey with an elbow. That is naaassty.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kraken working the strikes but Massey uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Massey is pressing down on Kraken's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Kraken must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kraken has gone for a leg lock! Massey slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kraken's guard. Massey is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Kraken has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Massey is looking to defend but Kraken has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Massey! Kraken pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Massey taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). The Kraken!
