Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Franz Van Dijk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Owen Lee! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Van Dijk looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Van Dijk stopping the sweep attempt from Lee. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Van Dijk wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving. Lee lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Van Dijk! Lee throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee controlling the position easily from mount. Van Dijk is in a horrible position here. Lee smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Owen Lee dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Van Dijk shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lee sprawls well. Lee wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Van Dijk gets slowly back to his feet. Van Dijk walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Lee lands with a hook. Van Dijk tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Lee swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Van Dijk takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Lee clinches up with Van Dijk and pushes him back against the cage. Lee looking to slow down the pace here. Van Dijk jumps into guard, dragging Lee to the mat.

Lee missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Lee passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Van Dijk! Lee landing shots from mount. Van Dijk is desperately trying to improve his position but Lee has a good base and remains in mount. Lee is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Van Dijk is surviving well by controlling Lee's body position as best he can. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Lee cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee looking to secure an arm triangle but Van Dijk defends it well. Lee throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lee can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Van Dijk is looking to escape. Lee controlling from the full mount. Van Dijk is desperately trying to improve his position but Lee has a good base and remains in mount. Lee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lee tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Van Dijk is desperately trying to improve his position but Lee has a good base and remains in mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Owen Lee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Van Dijk fails with a takedown attempt. Van Dijk shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lee's guard. Lee is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. Van Dijk has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Lee to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Van Dijk is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Lee pulls down on the head and he's put Van Dijk to sleep! This one is all over!
