Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Royce Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Marshall! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marshall fails with an attempt to clinch.
Marshall wants to clinch up but Gracie keeps it at a distance. The fight stays on the outside here - Marshall looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Marshall slaps away a takedown attempt from Gracie, before circling back to the center of the mat. Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. Marshall tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Marshall manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Marshall gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into guard. Gracie is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Marshall is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Marshall has escaped and now he's on top! Marshall throwing strikes from guard but Gracie blocks nicely. Gracie is looking to stand up but Marshall isn't so interested in that idea. Marshall postures up in Gracie's guard and throws a big left but Gracie blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marshall with a flurry of punches that miss. Gracie is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Marshall tries to free his leg and advance position but Gracie is retaining full guard. Marshall throws and elbow that misses. Gracie uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Marshall's guard. Nice move by Gracie! Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. The fight stays on the outside here - Marshall looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Marshall swinging wildly here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Gracie fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Royce Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. Excellent takedown into side control there by Gracie. Marshall tries to escape but Gracie is in control. Gracie is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Marshall knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Marshall is trying to control Gracie's posture but Gracie avoids it. Gracie is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Marshall has escaped the position, nice work there. Gracie is breathing heavily. Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie swings around for an armbar but Marshall sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Gracie's guard. Gracie working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Marshall. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Marshall accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Marshall in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Marshall fails with a takedown attempt. Marshall tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gracie paws at him with a jab and circles away. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Marshall tries to clinch up and Gracie counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Marshall's guard now. Gracie wants to pass the guard but Marshall is keeping the position. Gracie drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Gracie as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Marshall screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Gracie! Nice submission victory there!
