Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Project Alpha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yanick Goossens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alpha comes to the cage accompanied by Sub Focus - Rock It. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alpha lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Some wild striking there from Goossens.
Goossens misses with a body kick.
Alpha blocks a head kick by Goossens.
Alpha lands with a hook. Goossens tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Alpha shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Goossens has hold of Alpha's hands but Alpha slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Goossens is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Alpha scores with a couple of nice shots.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alpha stops Goossens from getting back to his feet.

Alpha winds up and cracks Goossens with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Goossens really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alpha. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Goossens pushes Alpha off looking to stand but Alpha dives back in and keeps control.
Alpha seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Goossens is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Goossens flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Goossens is still in real trouble! Can Alpha finish him?

Goossens has hold of Alpha's hands but Alpha slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Alpha stops Goossens from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Alpha scores with a big shot! Goossens's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Goossens! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Project Alpha!
