The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Carter moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Carter closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Macuco drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Carter manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Macuco has Carter in his guard.

Carter bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Macuco's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Macuco is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Carter rolls with it to try and escape but Macuco cranks on the arm and Carter is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
