Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Matt Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glen DANZIG (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DANZIG has chosen The Misfits-Where Eagles Dare as his entrance music. Glen DANZIG has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Matt Stevens's chin.

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Stevens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Glen DANZIG! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Ivan Kurochkin and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DANZIG tries to clinch but Stevens moves out of range. DANZIG looks to land a combination but Stevens avoids it well. Stevens falls off balance throwing a combination
and DANZIG counters with a shoot takedown. Stevens fights it but they end up in guard. DANZIG tries to free his leg and advance position but Stevens is retaining full guard. Stevens looking for a guillotine here but DANZIG defends easily.
DANZIG wants to control from the top but Stevens keeps moving. Stevens has his foot on DANZIG's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. DANZIG works his way back into a safe position though. DANZIG trying to control but Stevens is working from the bottom. DANZIG working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Stevens fails to land the takedown. DANZIG drives through and clinches with Stevens against the cage.
Stevens fails to pull guard.
DANZIG has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Stevens regains guard immediately. DANZIG with a flurry of punches that miss. Stevens escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. DANZIG gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. DANZIG trying to control but Stevens is working from the bottom. DANZIG drops back looking for a leg! Stevens is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Stevens manages to kick DANZIG off! DANZIG jumps back into Stevens's guard. DANZIG got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stevens has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, DANZIG has managed to get both his arms back between Stevens's legs - danger averted. Stevens is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DANZIG slips nicely into half guard. Stevens actively working from the bottom here. DANZIG wants to take a breather but Stevens is having none of it. DANZIG drops an elbow to the side of Stevens's head. DANZIG is looking for a kimura but Stevens is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for DANZIG to get the leverage. DANZIG is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Stevens is just riding it out for now. DANZIG eventually gives up the hold. DANZIG is looking to take a break and control but Stevens is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. DANZIG not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. DANZIG wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stevens keeps working. Stevens blocking the ground and pound attempt from DANZIG. DANZIG looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Stevens is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but DANZIG pulls his head out easily.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. DANZIG wants to clinch. DANZIG tries to close the distance and clinch up but Stevens swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. DANZIG shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Stevens swinging wildly here.
DANZIG misses with a head kick.
Stevens rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but DANZIG moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A telegraphed takedown attempt from DANZIG is defended easily by Stevens. DANZIG looking for a takedown here - he's got it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Glen DANZIG dominated that round. That's time! Stevens's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
DANZIG tries for a takedown but Stevens circles away easily and Stevens counters with a single leg into guard. DANZIG didn't expect that. DANZIG looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
DANZIG keeping moving, preventing Stevens from controlling successfully. Stevens avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Stevens is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Stevens seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down DANZIG for as long as he can get away with. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Stevens postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Stevens throws and elbow that misses. DANZIG uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stevens's guard. Nice move by DANZIG! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. DANZIG avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. DANZIG stands up over Stevens, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. DANZIG with a nice head shot there. DANZIG tries to free his leg and advance position but Stevens is retaining full guard. DANZIG has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Stevens has an active guard here but DANZIG has managed to pass into half guard.

DANZIG tries to bench press Stevens off him but Stevens keeps the position. DANZIG wants to control but Stevens postures up. DANZIG tries to improve position but can't. Stevens is staying tight to DANZIG's torso, preventing him from escaping. DANZIG sneaks back into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. DANZIG is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Stevens pulls his head out easily. Stevens tries to pass to full mount but DANZIG defends it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. DANZIG is staying active underneath Stevens, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The fighters are battling for position here. DANZIG manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Stevens stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. DANZIG swivels though and keeps the full guard. DANZIG seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Stevens trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Stevens has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. DANZIG pulls Stevens in close to prevent any damage. Stevens trying to control but DANZIG is working from the bottom. DANZIG pushes a forearm under Stevens's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Stevens is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
