Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bouraka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Wagner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wagner has chosen Motorhead - Deaf forever as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Bouraka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chad Wagner! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bouraka moves in looking to clinch but Wagner pushes him off. Bouraka closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wagner did well to prevent Bouraka getting side control. Bouraka is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wagner is just riding it out for now. Bouraka eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wagner slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wagner pulls Bouraka in to control the position. Bouraka drops back, looking for a kneebar! Wagner looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Wagner looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Wagner! Wagner working away. Bouraka is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Wagner wants to control but Bouraka is keeping him busy. A lull in the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wagner wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bouraka keeps working. Bouraka is looking for a sweep. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Wagner is looking to take a break and control but Bouraka is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Wagner decides to take the fight back to the feet. Good standup being displayed there by Wagner as he connects with a hook. Bouraka shoots in but Wagner avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wagner looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Bouraka working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Wagner has passed into half guard!
Wagner controlling the pace. Bouraka looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Wagner pushes past his half guard into mount! Wagner tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Bouraka is trying to escape the mount.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Wagner with the ground and pound from mount.

Bouraka has gone for a leg lock! Wagner slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bouraka's guard. Bouraka is breathing heavily. Wagner passes Bouraka's left leg - he's now in half guard. Wagner keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Wagner is thwarting Bouraka's attempts to control the position. Bouraka is looking to improve his position.
Wagner is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bouraka looking for submissions off his back. Bouraka actively working from the bottom here. Bouraka is refusing to be controlled, as Wagner sits in half guard. Wagner is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bouraka! Wagner prevents Bouraka from getting the reversal. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wagner looking to secure an arm triangle but Bouraka defends it well. Wagner landing strikes, looking to finish! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chad Wagner dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Chad Wagner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bouraka slips a straight right by Wagner. Wagner feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Wagner thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Wagner got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bouraka has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wagner has managed to get both his arms back between Bouraka's legs - danger averted. Wagner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bouraka is keeping the position for now. Bouraka looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Wagner is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bouraka is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wagner defends well. Wagner stays in close to Bouraka's body and controls the position. Wagner avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Wagner stands and steps away. Bouraka gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Wagner throws a body punch but Bouraka moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wagner feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Wagner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bouraka is keeping the position for now. Bouraka has his foot on Wagner's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wagner works his way back into a safe position though. Wagner wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bouraka, who protects the arm well. Bouraka tries to buck Wagner off but Wagner is having none of it. Wagner controlling the position. Wagner trying to control the position but Bouraka is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wagner scores with punches from side control. Wagner takes a little break here. Bouraka wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Wagner working away. Chad Wagner has got the better of the ground game so far. Bouraka gets back to half guard. Wagner wants to pass to mount but Bouraka is defending the position. Bouraka looking for submissions off his back. Bouraka wants to improve his position but Wagner is controlling well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bouraka is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wagner pulls his head out easily. Well, if Wagner is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Wagner is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Wagner is nestled in close to Bouraka, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chad Wagner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
