Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adam Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rimmer Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Taylor might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Immortal Technique. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Lou da Vinci and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture is looking to clinch.
Couture shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Taylor as he avoids it easily.
Taylor throws a right hand that Couture ducks under and follows up with a left that Couture also avoids with ease.
Taylor throws a series of punches but Couture moves out of range.
Taylor stuffs the takedown attempt from Couture. Couture gets slowly back to his feet.
Couture keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Taylor.
Taylor lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Couture backs up against the cage.
Taylor defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Couture.
Adam Taylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rimmer Couture.
Couture closes this distance looking for a takedown but Taylor circles away.
Couture fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Couture decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Taylor's guard.

Taylor is breathing heavily.
Couture drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Taylor manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Couture has Taylor in his guard.

Couture looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Taylor wants to stand but Couture has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Couture escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Taylor gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Taylor is looking to stand up but Couture won't let him.
Couture is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Taylor defends well.
Taylor knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Couture on the ground.
Couture working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Taylor doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Taylor manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Couture has a closed guard, preventing Taylor from standing up.
Taylor wants to stand and escape but instead Couture has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Couture wants to control from the top but Taylor keeps moving.
Couture passes Taylor's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Taylor is defending against the submission attempts here by Couture.

Couture decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Taylor keeps the fight on the outside.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Couture looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Taylor misses with a double jab
and Couture counters with a series of strikes. Taylor will be more careful next time no doubt.
Couture looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Taylor!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Couture has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Taylor finds it's way round the side to connect with Couture's head.
Couture instigates a clinch.
Taylor manages to break the clinch.
Couture shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Taylor's guard.
Couture pushes down on Taylor's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Couture is working for a submission of some sort.
Still in half guard, Couture seems content to control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Couture is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Taylor has managed to free his arm - good work.
Couture thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Couture is looking for a kimura but Taylor is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Couture to get the leverage.

Taylor wants to get back to his feet.
Taylor pushes Couture off and gets back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Couture has closed the distance and engaged Taylor in a clinch.
Couture softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Couture has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Taylor is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Taylor takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Couture struggles to land a body shot inside as Taylor controls his hands.
Taylor looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Couture is trying to trip Taylor. He has hold of a leg but Taylor is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Couture persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Couture drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Couture jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Couture drops back looking for a leg! Taylor is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Taylor manages to kick Couture off! Couture jumps back into Taylor's guard.
Couture wants to pass the guard but Taylor is keeping the position.
Taylor on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Taylor tries to get out of the position.
Couture is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Taylor is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Taylor has escaped and now he's on top!
Taylor wants to get up but he can't break Couture's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Rimmer Couture showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
