Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hidetoshi Nakata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuki Tamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Hidetoshi Nakata! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yuki Tamura! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tamura swats away the attempt to clinch by Nakata. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Tamura moves into the clinch successfully.
Tamura tries to break the clinch but Nakata is controlling the position. A nice right hand lands inside from Tamura. Nakata goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Tamura wants to break free but Nakata has control.
Tamura tries to stall but Nakata uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Tamura prevents the takedown attempt.
Tamura tries to break free but Nakata pushes him back against the ropes. Nakata misses with some punches.
Nakata fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Tamura blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Tamura stops a takedown attempt from Nakata.
Nakata tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tamura just stands there and leans against the ropes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hidetoshi Nakata. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nakata makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Nakata is working for takedown but Tamura is calmly controlling the position for now. Tamura stops a takedown attempt from Nakata.
Tamura tries to break the clinch but Nakata is controlling the position. Nakata looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Tamura wants to get back to striking at distance but Nakata won't allow it.
Tamura pulls Nakata into guard.
Nakata wants to control from the top but Tamura keeps moving. Nakata thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nakata postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Tamura can't keep his opponent in guard - Nakata advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Tamura is staying active underneath Nakata, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Nakata is trying to work for a kimura but Tamura is defending well.
Nakata is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Nakata in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Tamura tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Nakata!
