Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Izakawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin has chosen Freude schöner Götter Funken as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Izakawa tries to clinch but Martin is having none of it.
Izakawa doesn't manage to clinch there - Martin circles away.

Izakawa wants to clinch up but Martin keeps it at a distance.
Martin moves out of range of the body kick.
Nice takedown defense from Martin. No joy for Izakawa on that attempt.
Izakawa moves in looking to clinch but Martin pushes him off.

Izakawa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Izakawa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Martin is in all sorts of trouble here.
Izakawa fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Izakawa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Martin is wriggling around trying to escape.

Izakawa throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
