Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tmmy Mazunga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tmmy Mazunga is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Walsh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tmmy Mazunga! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walsh ducks under a wild hook from Mazunga. Mazunga rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Walsh moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Walsh fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A big right from Mazunga misses. Tmmy Mazunga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab from Mazunga does it's job there.
It looks like John Walsh has been cut. Walsh fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mazunga avoids it really well and circles away. Walsh shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Walsh. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mazunga throws a lazy right hand but Walsh sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A combination from Mazunga does no damage. Walsh shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mazunga but Mazunga pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mazunga throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Mazunga misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mazunga gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Mazunga is looking to stand up but Walsh isn't so interested in that idea. Walsh is looking to work some ground and pound but Mazunga has wrist control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Walsh slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Walsh is breathing heavily. Walsh prevents Mazunga from getting back to his feet. Walsh trying to control the position from guard on top but Mazunga is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Walsh prevents Mazunga from getting back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Walsh is pushing down on Mazunga's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mazunga is fighting to maintain full guard but Walsh has managed to sneak the leg through. Mazunga is not content to let Walsh control the position. Walsh stops Mazunga from getting back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of John Walsh. Mazunga avoids a punch combination nicely.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Walsh is trying to maintain a safe position but Mazunga gets an underhook and turns Walsh into the cage. Walsh taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Mazunga wants to stand and escape but instead Walsh has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Walsh won't allow Mazunga to get back to his feet. Walsh trying to control but Mazunga is working from the bottom. Walsh has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mazunga is proving hard to escape from.

Mazunga prevents Walsh from moving into mount. Mazunga is trying to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Walsh takes a shot right to the bread basket. Mazunga cracks Walsh with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Walsh avoids the body shot from Mazunga.
Mazunga cracks Walsh with an uppercut from hell and Walsh crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Mazunga's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mazunga trying to stand up but can't free himself from Walsh's guard. Mazunga postures up.

Mazunga doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mazunga manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tmmy Mazunga showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on John Walsh's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Walsh shoots in and drives through. Mazunga sprawls well. Tmmy Mazunga seems to be getting the better of the standup. Mazunga misses with a hook. Walsh ducked under it nicely. Mazunga throws a hook to the side of Walsh's head but Walsh sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Mazunga looks to throw the jab but Walsh is out of range. Mazunga throws a lazy right hand but Walsh sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Walsh forces Mazunga back against the cage and clinches. Walsh has Mazunga pressed against the cage, preventing Mazunga from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Walsh tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mazunga smiles and moves away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Walsh blocks a head kick by Mazunga.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Walsh tries to get out of the position. Mazunga is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Mazunga must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Walsh lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mazunga! Walsh looking to control but Mazunga is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Walsh misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
John Walsh has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mazunga is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
