Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erika Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jacob Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Erika Jackson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee looks to throw the jab but Jackson is out of range.
Lee throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Lee tries to clinch but Jackson moves out of range.
A nice inside leg kick there by Jackson. That's going to slow Lee down.

Jackson drops Lee with a beautiful combination! Lee stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jackson is looking for the KO!


It looks like Jacob Lee has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jackson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jackson.
Lee looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lee wants to clinch.

Jackson darts in and clinches Lee up against the cage.
Jackson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Lee has picked Jackson up - he's going for a ride! Lee dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Lee looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jackson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Lee thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jackson's head.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lee thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Jackson to regain full guard.
Lee wants to pass the guard but Jackson is keeping the position.

Jackson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Jackson can't keep his opponent in guard - Lee advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Lee wants to work for an arm triangle but Jackson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Erika Jackson dominated that round.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Lee drives through and clinches with Jackson against the cage.
Lee wants to break free but Jackson has control.
Lee tries to circle away but Jackson has him pinned against the cage.

Lee drags the fight down to the ground.
Jackson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Lee's head.

Lee pushes Jackson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Lee ducks right into an uppercut from Jackson.

and Lee takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jackson throws a series of punches but Lee avoids them all with ease.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jackson throws a series of punches but Lee moves out of range.

Lee takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Jackson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Lee tries for a takedown but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Jackson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Jackson throws a head kick that Lee semi-blocks.
Jackson moves out of range as Lee strikes.

Lee shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jackson is trying to defend but Lee finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Lee cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Jackson tries to hold on but Lee postures up.

Lee is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jackson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jackson shrugs it off.

Lee landing strikes, looking to finish!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Lee throws a sloppy head kick
and Jackson counters with a right hand to the body.
Lee scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Lee tries to score with a low kick but Jackson moves his leg out of the way.

Jackson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
