Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Anthony Taglia and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lam misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bayani looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Bayani closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bayani lands in his opponent's guard.
Bayani wants to control from the top but Lam keeps moving.
Lam looking for a guillotine here but Bayani defends easily.

Lam wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bayani fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Lam is out of range.

and Lam decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bayani's guard.

Lam tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Bayani.
Bayani is looking to escape.
Bayani kicks Lam off and gets back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Lam counters with a shoot takedown. Bayani fights it but they end up in guard.

and Lam counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bayani wants to sweep here but Lam controlling him for the moment.

Horrible takedown by Bayani or perhaps it was just good defense by Lam which made him look bad.

Bayani shoots in for a double leg but Lam sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bayani drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Lam pushes a forearm under Bayani's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Bayani is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
