Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Dess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Balboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Balboa has chosen Gonna Fly Now as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Dess!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rocky Balboa!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balboa throws a body punch but Dess moves out of range.
Balboa misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dess.
A head kick from Dess lands but Balboa takes it in his stride.
Balboa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dess manages to avoid it.
Balboa throws a right hand that Dess ducks under and follows up with a left that Dess also avoids with ease.
Balboa swinging wildly here.
Dess throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Dess uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Balboa.
A shot to the liver by Dess. Beautiful body shot.
Balboa walks into a left hand.
Dess misses with a head kick.
Balboa misses with a combination
and Dess counters with a nice kick to the body.
Balboa looks gassed!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dess plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Dess throws a front kick that sends Balboa stumbling back into the cage.
Dess thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Balboa if he has to take too many more of those.
Balboa takes one to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dess ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Balboa drops his hands momentarily and Dess needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Balboa just on the top of the head. Balboa drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Balboa - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). John Dess!
