Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hank Rockford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zathras Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rockford comes to the cage accompanied by Click Click Boom. Jones has chosen Art of War as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hank Rockford! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zathras Jones! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Steve Erwin and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones tries for a takedown but Rockford sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Rockford clinches. Rockford gets underhooks to prevent Jones's takedown attempt.
Rockford successfully pulls guard.
Jones wants to control from the top but Rockford keeps moving. Rockford pulls Jones in close to prevent any damage. Rockford keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Rockford tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Rockford is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones looking to sit in guard and control but Rockford gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rockford passes Jones's left leg - he's now in half guard. Jones is looking for a sweep. Rockford is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Jones is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Rockford winds up and cracks Jones with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Rockford is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Jones is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rockford's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rockford's back! Jones struggling to keep hold of the position.
Rockford breaks Jones's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Jones keeping full guard, as Rockford tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rockford showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Rockford will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is trying to keep Rockford in close.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jones is on top in guard.
Jones wants to control from the top but Rockford keeps moving. Jones might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rockford kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Jones is looking to advance position but Rockford has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Jones looks gassed! Rockford punishing his opponent with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is looking to improve his position but Rockford isn't that keen on the idea. Rockford looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Jones can't escape the position.
Rockford content just to control the position here. Jones tries to reverse the position but Rockford maintains control. Jones tries to hold on but Rockford pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jones is trying to escape the mount.
Jones wants to hold on but Rockford pushes him away. Rockford is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jones can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Rockford unloading with bombs! Jones manages to regain half guard. Good work. Rockford knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jones tries to roll over but Rockford keeps him under control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hank Rockford dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Rockford comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Jones has a takedown stuffed. Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rockford tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rockford to the ground. Rockford escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rockford is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Rockford circles away and we're back to standing. Hank Rockford has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zathras Jones. The fight moves into the clinch position. Rockford escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Rockford looks for the body kick but Jones saw that one coming. Jones shoots for a takedown but Rockford saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Hank Rockford is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rockford stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rockford as he jumps to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Rockford. No joy for Jones on that attempt. Rockford throws a wild body kick that Jones sees coming a mile off. Jones shoots in but no luck this time. Rockford closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jones to the mat! Jones manages to get full guard. Rockford throwing strikes but missing. Jones looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Rockford passes into side control.
Check out the look on Rockford's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Jones struggling a bit here. Jones tries to bench press Rockford off him but Rockford keeps the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Jones is pressing down on Rockford's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rockford is holding on for now. Rockford is in trouble now - Jones has advanced to mount! Jones goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Rockford is on top in guard.
Jones not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jones is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Rockford content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Jones throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rockford escapes and throws Jones's legs to the side, diving into side control! Jones is looking to regain half guard here but Rockford keeps moving and retains side control. Jones struggling a bit here. Jones is being controlled here. Rockford trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom. Rockford tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rockford has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. The referee asks Rockford politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Rockford prefers to stall for the moment though. Rockford looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Jones manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Jones trying to control but Rockford postures up.
Rockford wants to pass the guard but Jones is defending well. Rockford is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Jones's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Rockford. Rockford has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rockford has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Rockford looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rockford doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rockford manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rockford advances to half guard.

Jones trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hank Rockford overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rockford is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Jones is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rockford Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jones's back instead. Rockford is trying to stick to Jones's back but Jones is turning into Rockford. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Rockford's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Jones.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jones throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jones doesn't succeed with the takedown and Rockford counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Jones moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Rockford looking to pass the guard. Rockford trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rockford is one step ahead there. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rockford trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that's the end of the fight! Hank Rockford showed his dominance in that final round. Well Rockford has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
