Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sultan Seama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wanderlei Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wanderlei Johnson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sultan Seama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wanderlei Johnson! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Seama regains full guard. Nicely done. Johnson looking to pass the guard. Seama has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Seama looking to hit a scissor sweep but Johnson is one step ahead there. Johnson looking to pass the guard. Johnson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Johnson passes Seama's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Seama manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Johnson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Johnson advances position into side control! Seama is trying to get back to half guard. Johnson tries to move into full mount but can't pass Seama's legs. Johnson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Seama knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Johnson looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Seama prevents Johnson from improving position. Seama tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Johnson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Seama is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Johnson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Seama actively working from the bottom here. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Seama moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Seama has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though. Johnson drops back looking for a leg! Seama is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Seama manages to kick Johnson off! Johnson jumps back into Seama's guard. Johnson stopping the sweep attempt from Seama. Johnson passes Seama's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Johnson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Seama knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Johnson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Seama! Seama is controlling an arm, preventing Johnson from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Johnson looking to secure an arm triangle but Seama defends it well. Johnson looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Johnson working for a submission but Seama is keeping him at bay. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Seama prevents Johnson from taking his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Seama is trying to escape the mount but Johnson keeps good control and instead manages to take Seama's back.
Seama manages to reverse the position and now he's in Johnson's guard. Nice work there by Seama.
Seama gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Seama misses with a jab, cross combination.
Seama throws an overhand right that lands on Johnson's shoulder, as Johnson tries to avoid the shot. Seama wants to clinch. Johnson staying out of range there. Johnson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Seama.
Seama misses with an uppercut. Seama gets the takedown into side control. Seama has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Johnson is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Seama yanks on the arm and Johnson is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Seama.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Sultan Seama!
