Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tom Cirus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Desouza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cirus comes to the cage accompanied by He's a Pirate - Pirates of the Caribbean theme. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tom Cirus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dan Desouza! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Edson Gomes and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cirus misses with an uppercut. Desouza thows a body kick. Cirus tries to catch it but that hurt him. Cirus throws a body punch but Desouza moves out of range. Cirus fails to land with a series of punches.
Cirus avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A jab from Desouza does it's job there. Cirus misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Jab, jab by Cirus - just one landing. Cirus looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Desouza loads up on a big right hand but Cirus slips the punch. Cirus changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Desouza looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Desouza sneaks back into half guard. Desouza is looking to escape. Cirus is looking for a kimura here.
Cirus is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Desouza sees it coming and defends easily. Desouza lands with a few short shots to the body.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Desouza gets full guard. Cirus stopping the sweep attempt from Desouza. Desouza lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cirus! BOOM! Desouza connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Cirus in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Desouza scoring with strikes but Cirus is staying in there. Desouza lands a heavy elbow. Desouza working the ground and pound effectively.
Cirus is rocked! Desouza has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Desouza lands a big elbow - Cirus is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Cirus is forced to tap out!
