Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Darren Fogerty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yorito Nayama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yorito Nayama is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Darren Fogerty! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yorito Nayama! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Sosuke Kotani and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nayama is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Fogerty. Fogerty stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fogerty wants it to stay on the feet. Fogerty pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Nayama fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fogerty avoids it really well and circles away. Fogerty lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Fogerty enables Nayama to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fogerty manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Fogerty wants to sweep here but Nayama controlling him for the moment. Nayama is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Fogerty wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Nayama passes Fogerty's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Nayama wants to work for an arm triangle but Fogerty is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Fogerty feints and as Nayama raises his hands in defense, Fogerty changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Nayama has momentary wrist control but Fogerty slips an elbow through the middle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fogerty postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Fogerty wants to pass the guard but Nayama is keeping the position. Fogerty stopping the sweep attempt from Nayama. Fogerty in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Nayama wants to sweep but no luck. Fogerty is looking to work some ground and pound but Nayama has wrist control. Nayama manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fogerty manages to get himself to full guard.
Fogerty looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Nayama puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Nayama is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fogerty doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Nayama. Nayama takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nayama is trying to control the action in half guard but Fogerty is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Nayama is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Fogerty! Nayama thowing shots but they're missing. Fogerty is trying desperately to improve position. Nayama controlling from mount. Nayama can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fogerty is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nayama unloads with some shots from mount but Fogerty bucks and avoids them well.
Nayama controlling the position easily from mount. Fogerty knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nayama on the ground. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Fogerty is squirming around, avoiding Nayama's attempts to control the action. Fogerty is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Nayama has control of Fogerty's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Fogerty regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Fogerty prevents Nayama from getting a body triangle. Fogerty turns into Nayama and is now in his guard.

Yorito Nayama showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Nayama misses with a takedown attempt and Fogerty counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Fogerty. That's one minute gone in the round. Fogerty keeping moving, preventing Nayama from controlling successfully. Nayama advances to half guard. Nayama prevents Fogerty from improving his position. Nayama has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Fogerty really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Nayama controlling his opponent. Nayama trying to control but Fogerty is having none of it. Fogerty tries to lock up and control but Nayama gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Nayama wants to control the pace but Fogerty is squirming around nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fogerty is just holding on here. Nayama manages to take his back.
Fogerty is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Nayama gets his way!
Nayama has managed to slip his arm under Fogerty's chin. This could be all over... yep, Fogerty is tapping out! Submission win for Nayama.
